On Cross Country Travels

I believe everyone should drive across the country at some point.

I recently made the trip from Phoenix, AZ to Toledo, OH.

In the first few minutes, you feel elated and a bit nervous. It's a huge distance.

In the first few hours, you notice the confines of the car. Your legs cramp. Your eyes strain to see the distance.

After your first day, you are into the groove. Each town is a new place to explore from the view of the gas/EV charging station. You reminisce with yourself or your travel partner on where you could or could not live. Maybe you pickup a small bit of food or a bauble at a road side attraction.

It puts life into perspective. You are not cruising above the earth in a plane, unaware of your surroundings and seemingly instantly teleported area to area. You are aware of the earth, the people, and the surroundings you pass.

It's helpful to put yourself into context. Your problems are not just your own. You will recover. The things you struggle with shall pass and the land you pass shall still be there.

It is peace.
