Novocaine - Just Fun
A while back I wrote about how horror movies don't have to be insanely deep or have a phenomenal budget - I feel the same way about action movies.
Jack Quaid plays the leading man in Novocaine an action movie about a man out to save his girlfriend who is born with a disorder where he cannot feel pain.
That is about as deep as the movie ever gets. But, it punches well in its 90 minute run time. The humor hits - even the slapstick comedy the film relies on like a crutch. The characters are likable, but not deep. The plot is simple and the twists in the movie come unexpectedly.
It's a fun movie. I took my whole family to it and they loved it.
You cannot get higher praise for a film that is not a reboot or some other slop.
Highly recommend checking it out and skipping the streaming on this one.
