I finished under 4 hrs for a marathon
This weekend, I finished the Flying Pig Marathon down in Cincinnati. I loved being able to go down there - even though the day before we got rained out (of course, that meant 10 minute lines at Kings Island).
The course was pretty good, a steady uphill climb early on meant by mile 18 it was all downhill. Being able to run through Cincinnati proper along with Covington and Newport across the river was gorgeous. About every half a mile there were people cheering you on, handing out refreshments, and just creating a great vibe. There were even people in the local neighborhood giving runners who were brave enough shots of fireball!
Finally, I broke my PR for marathon time cracking 4 hours. I'd like to credit my wonderful wife and the Texas Roadhouse rolls the night before.
Overall, if you're considering the Flying Pig Marathon, I highly recommend - it's a great course and a really amazing atmosphere.
