Better as a Netflix Movie - How to Sell a Haunted House
I recently finished How to Sell a Haunted House, by Grady Hendrix. I'd read another of his books, My Best Friend's Exorcism and while it was not my favorite in the genre, I wanted to give it another go.
Without spoiling too much, my whole feeling with this sub-genre of book about "thing that it unusual happens and it is mildly scary and funny" is that it belongs on the silver screen (or your iPad).
That isn't to say books cannot evoke a feeling or draw an imagery, but these more fun, less complexity thrilling books are the perfect screenplays.
I feel like they paint a portrait of a movie I could see on Netflix.
Now that I've written it down, maybe it is less of a critique of the book as much of a recommendation.
This book feels like watching the best kind of Netflix thriller - I'd recommend you pick it up and read it.
